Job
Summary:
Maintains, repairs and installs all voice network and ancillary telecommunications equipment.
Installs new equipment and related cabling/wiring.
Ensures all system operations are performing optimally, backups are current, and all documentation is completed per department policies.

Experience:
High School Education/GED or equivalent:
Preferred Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related
Experience:
Preferred Licenses/Certifications:
Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT):
Preferred Dell certification:
Preferred A

Essential Functions:
Completes assigned work orders and related documentation in accordance with departmental procedure.
Evaluates assigned trouble reports and takes appropriate action in accordance with departmental procedure.
Performs equipment repair in accordance with manufacturer/departmental procedure.
Installs and maintains telephone closets.
Installs new equipment/cabling.
Performs scheduled evaluation and documentation of miscellaneous voice network/ telephone equipment as described in the Preventative Maintenance Manual.
Maintains/evaluates inventory of miscellaneous telecommunications materials, back up equipment, and telephones in accordance with department procedure.
Verifies trunking and other relevant reports.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
